Job summary

Carson Valley Health in Gardnerville, NV seeks an Engineer - Full Time to perform routine and preventative maintenance on utilities, environmental and building systems within a hospital setting.

You will handle daily work orders, repairs, and safety compliance while supporting emergency shutdowns, fire systems and critical utilities. Knowledge of plumbing, electrical and carpentry tasks is helpful; valid Nevada/CA driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be available to work various shifts.
• Must be able to read and write English.
• Previous maintenance/engineering experience preferred.
• Current Nevada or California Driver's License with clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Performs and monitors routine and preventative maintenance to ensure building systems operate properly and efficiently.
• Performs daily work orders and daily maintenance as required.
• Checks and replaces equipment and performs related repairs.
• Performs minor repairs on electrical equipment, plant machinery and plumbing.
• Operates generators and back-up power equipment; assists in servicing machinery.
• Completes documentation such as logs and reports accurately and timely.
