Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a skilled maintenance technician in Carson City, NV to interpret blueprints, perform repairs across plumbing, electrical, carpentry and HVAC, and coordinate costs with vendors. You will work with local codes and safety standards to keep campus facilities safe and functional.

Responsibilities include layout planning, backflow testing, and responding to emergencies after hours. Experience across two trades and a valid NV Driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Experience across multiple building trades and maintenance tasks.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and codes.
• Proven skills in planning, estimating, and coordinating repairs.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and local building codes for maintenance and repair projects.
• Repair, construct, and maintain buildings, grounds, and equipment.
• Plan and lay out projects and initiate cost estimates.
• Coordinate with outside vendors to bid parts and obtain cost estimates.
• Perform plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC maintenance and repairs.
• Maintain and test backflow devices.
• Maintain plumbing fixtures and water heaters.
• Repair fixtures, toilets, urinals, sinks, and drinking fountains.
• Open clogged drains.
• Follow the International Building Code, Uniform Plumbing Code, and state and local code requirements.
• Maintain building roofing.
• Perform carpentry and electrical installations.
• Work outside regular hours when required for campus emergencies, special events, closures, or building operations.
