Job summary

Boston Medical Center – South is seeking a General Services Technician – Carpenter to perform fabrication, installation, and repair of wood structures across the healthcare facility.

You will read blueprints, operate hand and power tools, and maintain documentation in the CMMS while upholding safety and building-code compliance. A strong carpentry background and a valid US driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of carpentry experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
• Proficiency with Windows computers and CMMS for maintenance logging.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, install and repair wood structures and fixtures using hand and power tools.
• Read plans and shop drawings for milling and fabrication.
• Maintain and safeguard tools and equipment; keep accurate maintenance logs.
• Ensure safety, comply with building codes, and coordinate with supervisor.
