Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Environmental Services Technician I at Advocate Christ Medical Center to keep patient and public areas clean, safe, and welcoming through rotating weekend schedules. The role requires attention to detail, the ability to operate cleaning equipment, and strong customer service in English.

You will follow department procedures and safety guidelines while contributing to hospital cleanliness.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• 1-2 years experience in housekeeping preferred.
• Ability to operate small electrical equipment (vacuum cleaners).
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Scrub, strip, polish, and refinish floors using appropriate equipment.
• Analyze floor or carpet conditions to determine cleaning methods.
• Maintain hard floors and carpets following department processes.
• Ensure timely completion of all assignments and seek additional tasks when available.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment; keep area clean and safe.
• Follow safety guidelines for waste disposal and discharge room cleans.
