Job summary

CHI Health Lakeside is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to keep patient rooms and hospital areas clean and sanitized. You will perform routine cleaning tasks, sanitize using specialized equipment, and learn proper disposal of biohazard materials.

You may refill dispensers and deliver clean linens while upholding infection prevention practices. The role emphasizes safety and compassion for patients, visitors, and staff, contributing to a well-maintained facility and peaceful hospital

Qualifications

• High School Graduation or GED preferred with healthcare experience.
• Must be able to learn proper disposal techniques for biohazard materials.
• Ability to maintain cleaning carts and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks: sweeping, mopping, dusting.
• Sanitize facility with specialized equipment.
• Dispose biohazard waste per procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Refill soap and paper towel dispensers and deliver clean linens.
• Follow infection prevention practices including PPE and HIPAA.
• Assist with conference room setups and other facility cleaning as needed.
