Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking an Environmental Services Technician II for a 32-hour weekly shift. The role involves cleaning patient rooms and hospital spaces, stocking supplies, and maintaining equipment daily, while adhering to isolation precautions and safety practices.

Responsibilities include coordinating with supervisors, ensuring timely updates, and contributing to cost-reduction and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and maintains patient rooms, offices, public areas, treatment rooms and other assigned areas daily.
• Follows policies on patient isolation and contact precautions when necessary.
• Stocks paper items and supplies in assigned areas.
• Maintains cart and equipment in clean, working condition.
• Promotes safety in the workplace with PPE and wet floor signs, and proper labeling of chemicals.
• Notifies supervisor of equipment repairs and safety hazards.
• Communicates issues to supervisor and helps manage schedule and resources.
• Demonstrates teamwork across departments and supports colleagues.
