Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services Technician to maintain a clean and safe hospital environment at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center. This full-time role involves cleaning, disinfecting, and complying with infection control policies to support patient care.

The position offers standard hospital benefits, a 40-hour work week, 7:00am-3:30pm shifts, and rotating weekends/holidays. Applicants should have a High School diploma or equivalent and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
• Basic computer skills preferred
• Able to operate small electrical equipment such as vacuum cleaners
• Excellent customer service and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect assigned area(s) using appropriate cleaning solutions and schedules.
• Operate department equipment and handle chemicals per policies.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas and assist with patient rooms and restrooms.
• Ensure proper waste collection and linen handling.
• Follow infection control policies and safety regulations.
