Job summary

Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, AR, seeks an EVS Technician I to maintain a clean, safe patient and non-patient environment. You will clean and disinfect rooms, restrooms, offices, and corridors to support infection prevention, stock supply carts, and respond to spills and requests with courteous service.

This role requires reading, writing, and speaking English; prior hospital housekeeping experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous hospital housekeeping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect patient rooms, offices, restrooms, corridors per schedules and standards.
• Stock and maintain the EVS supply cart/closet (liners, microfiber, paper products, disinfectants).
• Perform discharge/terminal cleaning and enhanced cleaning for isolation rooms.
• Collect, remove, and dispose of trash, linen, and waste per hospital policy.
• Replenish disposable items such as soap, paper towels, toilet paper, gloves, and sanitizer dispensers.
• Clean and disinfect equipment and furniture (beds, stretchers, wheelchairs, tables).
• Respond to spills, body fluid cleanups, and room/equipment turnarounds; use wet-floor signage and safety protocols.
• Use PPE and infection prevention practices; maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
