Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking an Environmental Services Shift Supervisor to oversee EVS staff, ensure clean and safe environments, and manage equipment and supplies. The role includes staffing decisions for shifts, conducting inspections, and supporting bed management initiatives to improve patient flow.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of EVS/healthcare experience with supervisory exposure. A high school diploma is preferred; higher degrees and certifications such as REH/CEH or

Qualifications

• One year of Environmental Services and/or healthcare experience required.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise assigned teams, complete performance reviews, and administer corrective actions.
• Perform autonomous inspections and patient interviews weekly.
• Understand Bed Management programs to facilitate timely patient flow and monitor bed turn-around times.
• Ensure equipment and supplies are available and in working order; troubleshoot equipment problems.
• Check schedule and sign-in sheets to allocate staffing resources.
• Conduct daily shift huddles/meetings to communicate issues and changes.
• Attend in-services and training programs and disseminate information to EVS staff.
• Compile maintenance work orders to report to Engineering daily.
