Job summary

Northern Inyo Healthcare District is seeking an Environmental Services-Laundry Per Diem for Bishop, CA. The role supports Environmental Services and Laundry departments, performing duties to maintain a clean hospital environment and hygienic linen supply as needed.

The position reports to the Environmental Services Manager and works with hospital leadership and staff. Candidates should be able to read/write English and lift up to 50 lbs; prior laundry experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, write and understand English clearly.
• Experience in cleaning and laundry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.
• Respond promptly to requests for cleaning needs.
• Assist laundry with collecting, cleaning, drying, folding, delivering linen.
• Learn to operate laundry machines safely.
• Work with hospital leadership and departments as needed.
