Job summary

MercyOne Dubuque is hiring a Housekeeper to provide a clean and safe environment across hospital areas. Responsibilities include cleaning patient rooms, offices, and common areas, following isolation cleaning procedures, and maintaining supplies and equipment.

The role supports patient care teams in a busy hospital setting. The position is full-time, day shift, with a schedule that includes weekends/holidays as part of rotation.

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial and cleaning experience preferred.
• Must be able to work with housekeeping chemicals and equipment.
• Able to communicate effectively and work harmoniously with health care team.
• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean patient rooms and discharge units to hospital standards.
• Maintain clean office/ancillary areas.
• Perform isolation cleaning as required.
• Keep a clean cart, equipment, and storage areas.
• Replenish supplies and report repairs as needed.
• Assist with general housekeeping duties across the facility.
