Job summary

Atlantic Health Overlook Medical Center is seeking a Per Diem Environmental Aide I (Housekeeping) for the Environmental Services Department. The required hours are 11:30PM - 7:30AM, including every other weekend. The starting rate is $21.21/hr.

The EVS Aide will be responsible for general cleaning, trash removal, dusting, mopping, sanitation of patient rooms, and handling linen changes. Must have HS Diploma or GED, be able to read/write/speak English, and meet fit testing requirements.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED/Equivalent required or will obtain within 1 year of employment.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• General cleaning, empty trash, high/low dusting, mop floors, sanitize all furniture in inpatient rooms, clean commode, clean bathrooms and discard debris, remove soiled linen and replace with fresh linen in patient rooms.
• EVS Aide will also need to work at Union Campus.
• Position includes cleaning of bodily fluids.

Requirements:

• HS Diploma or GED/Equivalent required or will obtain within 1 year of employment.
• To provide a safe environment to our patients, we require that all candidates must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Solid work history a must.
• Need to meet the fit testing requirement.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs.

Relevant Experience:

• Prior experience in housekeeping in either a hospital or institutional setting or a related field preferred.
• Prior Floor-care experience preferred.
• 1-2 years of customer service experience in healthcare, hospitality or relevant area preferred.
