Job summary

St. Luke’s University Health Network is seeking an Environmental Services Aide to perform general and aseptic cleaning of patient rooms, corridors and other areas across the hospital, following established guidelines and safety procedures.

You will use approved cleaning supplies, scrub floors, dust furniture, remove trash, and maintain a neat, sanitary environment. High school diploma or GED preferred, with 3–6 months’ housekeeping experience in a hospital or institutional setting.

Qualifications

• General cleaning and sanitizing duties in hospital settings.
• Ability to follow departmental procedures and safety rules.
• Attendance at meetings as required.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and prepares patient rooms, beds and assigned areas in a timely and efficient manner.
• Uses appropriate cleaning supplies and chemicals according to procedures.
• Scrubs, mops and buffs floors; dusts and polishes furniture.
• Cleans glass, fixtures and restrooms; cleans sinks and dining areas.
• Removes trash to designated stations; follows safety guidelines.
