Job summary

University Medical Center of Southern Nevada is hiring an Environmental Services Aide to perform housekeeping tasks across patient areas, offices and operating rooms. Responsibilities include cleaning rooms, changing linens, and safely disposing of waste in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role requires high school equivalency and prior EVS experience in healthcare or hotel environments, with flexibility for 8- or 10-hour shifts and potential exams for core competencies.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent with 6 months janitorial experience.
• 1 year EVS experience in Healthcare setting.
• 1 year EVS experience in Hotel Industry.
• Experience with Isolation Protocols and biohazard waste handling.
• Availability to work all shifts, including graveyard, seven days a week.
• May require a written or oral exam for core competencies.

Responsibilities

• Performs housekeeping duties in a clinical environment.
• Clean patient rooms, offices, operating rooms and lobbies; change bed linens.
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, buff floors and remove trash and hazardous materials.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent with 6 months janitorial experience

EVS experience in Healthcare

EVS experience in Hotel Industry

Isolation Protocols experience
