Job summary

University Medical Center of Southern Nevada (UMC) is seeking Environmental Services staff to maintain clean, safe spaces across patient rooms, operating areas and public spaces at the Las Vegas campus.

Responsibilities include bedside linen changes, floor care, waste handling and adherence to infection control policies. The role requires flexibility to cover all shifts, including graveyard, in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; six months in janitorial or custodial work.
• 1 year EVS experience in a Hospital/Acute Care setting preferred.
• 1 year EVS experience in Hotel industry preferred.
• Experience with isolation protocols and handling biohazard waste when needed.
• Willingness to work all shifts, including graveyard, seven days a week.

Responsibilities

• Performs housekeeping duties in patient rooms, offices, operating rooms and lobbies.
• Changes bed linens and cleans floors; sweeps, vacuums, mops and buffers.
• Removes trash and hazardous materials.
• Follows infection control policies and safety procedures.
• Experience with isolation protocols and handling biohazard waste.
• Position requires availability for all shifts, including graveyard.
