NYU Langone Health seeks a Hospital Epidemiologist as part of the Division of Infectious Diseases and Immunology at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. The role focuses on hospital epidemiology, infection prevention, occupational health, and inpatient/outpatient infectious diseases service across NYU Langone Health sites.

The candidate will mentor fellows and students, lead QA/PI initiatives, and drive evidence-based policies while collaborating with clinical and administrative teams to enhance

Qualifications

• Current New York Medical License.
• Board certification in Infectious Diseases.
• Clinical knowledge of hospital epidemiology and infection prevention.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical leadership.

Responsabilités

• Provide clinical leadership in hospital epidemiology, infection prevention and control, and occupational health.
• Collaborate with medical directors and nursing leadership to prevent disease transmission and reduce healthcare-associated infections.
• Teach and mentor infectious diseases fellows, residents, and medical students.
• Develop and evaluate evidence-based infection prevention policies and practices.
• Champion integration of artificial intelligence and clinical decision support tools across the division and promote a Learning Health System model.
• Support LOS targets through collaboration and care planning when appropriate.
