Job summary

Boston Medical Center - South is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services worker to clean and service all hospital areas, move furniture and equipment, and maintain a sanitary environment. You will use germicidal cleaners, handle high touch surfaces, and ensure orderly spaces across departments.

The role is full-time (7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.), non-benefit eligible, with a comprehensive compensation package and benefits exposure through BMCHS.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma, GED or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and services all areas of the facility.
• Moves furniture, equipment, and supplies.
• Cleans areas with germicidal solutions.
• Cleans high touch areas (doorknobs, rails, switches, etc.).
• Sweeps/mops, vacuums, and arranges furniture after cleaning.
• Requests supplies and equipment as needed.
• Operates cleaning equipment (mechanical and electrical).
• Reports equipment needing repair and safety hazards.
