Job summary

Humboldt County Memorial Hospital is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services – Housekeeping team member for full-time schedule in Humboldt, IA. The role includes cleaning patient rooms, nursing units, offices, and clinical areas to ensure a safe, sanitary environment for patients, families, and staff.

The position requires adherence to infection control practices, proper handling of chemicals, and the ability to work day, evening, or night shifts as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Knowledge of environmental services and cleaning practices beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Clean patient rooms, nursing units, offices, waiting areas and corridors to hospital standards.
• Perform terminal/detailed cleaning of OR rooms as needed.
• Launder and distribute hospital linen and supplies.
• Restock supplies and ensure cleaning equipment is maintained and used properly.
• Follow infection control practices and safety procedures at all times.
