Job summary

Mercy is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to maintain a clean, safe hospital environment at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Festus, MO. You will perform sanitation tasks aligned with infection control standards to support patient healing and overall well-being.

This full-time evening shift position requires rotating weekends and holidays. Training is provided; prior hospital housekeeping experience and customer service skills are preferred to help create a welcoming experience for

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; on-the-job training provided.
• Prior hospital environmental service experience preferred.
• Experience following written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to push/pull or lift 50 lbs regularly; mobility throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning and sanitation tasks throughout the hospital.
• Ensure infection control standards and regulatory requirements are met.
• Promote a healthy and hygienic environment to support patient healing.
• Support departmental operations and adapt to assigned responsibilities as needed.
