Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Needham, part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, seeks a full-time Environmental Services Associate for day shifts. You will clean, disinfect and maintain patient rooms, hallways, bathrooms and offices, handle waste disposal, restock supplies, and assist with floor care and room setup.

Prior housekeeping or healthcare experience is preferred. The role is physical and requires teamwork and reliability.

Qualifications

• Some High School required.
• 0-1 years related work experience required.
• Basic familiarity with computers.
• Previous experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cleans floors, walls, ceilings, fixtures, shelves, beds, tables, desks, carpets, windows, mirrors, sinks, toilets, urinals, counters, doors and elevators daily.
• Removes trash and waste; disposes of litter.
• Refills dispensers and restocks supplies; prepares rooms for use.
• Performs specialized cleaning tasks as scheduled (vacuuming, curtains, drapes, upholstery).
• Follows safety protocols and uses cleaning chemicals properly.
