Job summary

University Health KC in Kansas City, Missouri is seeking an Environmental Services Technician (EVS Tech) to support UH Lakewood Medical Center by keeping patient areas clean and safe.

This part-time, PRN role requires following infection control standards, operating floor care equipment, assisting with furniture moves, and following chemical safety guidelines to protect patients and staff. Qualifications

• English communication in speaking and reading with staff, patients, and visitors.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Knowledge to operate cleaning and floor care equipment safely.
• Ready to complete a competency assessment after training within 30–60 days.
• Strong attention to detail for cleanliness and safety.

Responsibilities

• Clean and service hospital areas per established procedures.
• Move furniture, equipment and supplies to set up spaces.
• Maintain sanitation following infection control standards and safety procedures.
• Operate floor care equipment safely and efficiently.
• Read cleaning chemical labels and follow safety instructions.
