Job summary

ClearSky Health in Eau Claire, WI seeks a full-time Housekeeper to clean patient rooms and hospital areas, supporting safety and patient recovery by maintaining a clean, attractive, and safe environment.

Responsibilities include cleaning after discharge, linen handling, waste disposal, inventory of supplies, and adherence to infection prevention standards; candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of healthcare facility experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year hospital or skilled nursing facility experience preferred.
• Knowledge of healthcare environmental services procedures.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently and with others.

Responsibilities

• Cleans all patient rooms and ancillary areas per approved processes.
• Cleans patient rooms immediately after discharge.
• Vacuuming, cleaning upholstery and carpeted areas.
• Replaces soiled draperies and moves furniture as directed.
• Washes walls, cleans light fixtures and vents.
• Handles linen and distributes clean linen and gowns.
• Maintains floors with cleaning, stripping, waxing, buffing as needed.
• Collects waste and disposes of bio-waste as necessary.
• Adheres to safety and infection prevention standards.
• Takes daily inventory of supplies and inspects equipment.
• Notifies administration of equipment repairs.
• Ensures safety for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
