Dignity Health in Oxnard, California is seeking an Environmental Services Tech to maintain and improve the cleanliness and sanitary conditions of campus facilities in accordance with hospital infection-control standards. You will clean patient rooms, exam rooms, restrooms, and common areas, disinfect surfaces, safely handle and dispose of waste, and operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers and vacuums.

The role requires attention to detail and adherence to safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Housekeeping experience required, utilizing basic housekeeping practices, and procedures, proper handling/disposal of infectious waste, and proper safety skills in handling of housekeeping chemicals
• Acute healthcare work experience involving the use of heavy equipment such as buffers extractors wide area vacuums and wet vacuums

Responsabilités

• Clean and sanitize patient rooms, common areas, and other areas according to established protocols.
• Follow strict cleaning and disinfection procedures to maintain a safe and sanitary environment.
• Collect and dispose of waste, including biohazardous materials and linens, following proper procedures.
• Replenish supplies in patient rooms and common areas.
• Respond promptly to cleaning requests from healthcare staff.
• Operate cleaning equipment, including heavy-duty machinery and specialized tools.
