Job summary

UNC Health in Raleigh, NC is seeking a full-time Housekeeper to maintain a clean, sanitary environment across patient rooms and hospital areas. You will clean occupied rooms, discharge rooms, and support areas, following established procedures.

This role does not involve direct patient care and requires attention to safety and infection control. Work schedule is Day Job, onsite at Rex Environmental Services, 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• None required.
• No licensure or certification required.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Cleans (dusts, disinfects, mops, restocks, pulls trash and inspects) occupied patient rooms
• Cleans discharge rooms in a timely manner for incoming patients
• Cleans support areas and critical care areas such as nurses stations, lounges, intensive care units and isolation rooms
• Enters data into the bed tracking system.
• Inspect ancillary and patient areas and projects.
• May serve as a team leader who plans and schedules tasks, makes work assignments, trains staff, controls bed tracking and inspects all areas throughout the hospital.
• Strip, wax, dust mop and damp mop floors. Vacuum, bonnett and extract carpets.
• Trains and instructs new housekeepers in proper hospital policies and procedures.
