Job summary

You will follow established infection prevention practices, including hand hygiene and appropriate use of PPE, and maintain clean, safe work areas.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated communication skills to include differentiating color-coded labels and/or chemicals as well as following written and/or verbal directions.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule when needed to meet the needs of the department.
• Demonstrated professional housekeeping experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect assigned areas following department cleaning procedures.
• Properly dispose of infectious waste and trash per guidelines.
• Handle and clean up emergency spills per guidelines and OSHA standards.
• Follow infection prevention practices including hand hygiene, PPE, and isolation precautions.
• Maintain safety in work/storage areas according to policy and procedures.
