Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a full-time environmental services associate to maintain clean, safe patient areas, offices and public spaces. You will operate floor care equipment, manage supplies, and follow infection control procedures while supporting hospital operations with minimal disruption to patients and staff.

The role requires physical stamina and ability to lift, move and operate cleaning devices; prior healthcare cleaning experience is a plus. Comprehensive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate various cleaning equipment including machine scrubbers and carpet cleaners.
• Ability to follow and understand oral and written instructions.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Cleans furniture and carpets in rooms, hallways, stairs, and offices using power equipment.
• Operates cleaning equipment and reports safety hazards or needed repairs.
• Cleans and maintains floor surfaces with dry and wet mops; refinishes floors as needed.
• Sets up rooms for meetings and delivers audio visual equipment.
