Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a dedicated environmental services associate to perform cleaning across patient areas, offices and common spaces. The role supports infection control by following procedures and safety guidelines, and reports equipment issues.

The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, first shift, with 8:00 am to 4:30 pm and weekend/holiday rotation. High school diploma preferred and prior cleaning experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• One year of cleaning experience preferred.
• Prior housekeeping or environmental services experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs complete cleaning of assigned areas, including dusting, sanitizing, floors, and restrooms.
• Handles cleaning chemicals safely; indoor work with potential outdoor cleaning tasks and ladders.
• Transports waste and maintains cleanliness of equipment; reports mechanical issues.
