Job summary

Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services team member to clean and maintain areas including OR, C-section, procedure and ER. The role is full-time with a flexible schedule at 680 Centre Street, Brockton, MA, within the Environmental Services department.

You will perform routine cleaning, operate cleaning equipment, manage supplies, and uphold patient and staff safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must successfully complete an in-service training period involving all phases of housekeeping.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs. (without assistance) and up to 200 lbs. (with assistance).
• Must be able to move rolling stock of up to 250 lbs. (without assistance) and up to 500 lbs. (with assistance).
• Must be able to move non-rolling stock of up to 60 lbs. (without assistance) and up to 200 lbs. (with assistance) and up to 650 lbs. (with mechanical assistance).
• No previous experience is necessary.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables within established department and hospital policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Clean, service and maintain assigned areas of hospital including Operating Room, C-section Room, Procedure Room and Emergency Department.
• Determine priorities to complete assigned duties within policies and procedures.
• Work under supervision of Environmental Services Coordinator using established methods and equipment.
• Perform dry and wet mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning of walls, floors, doors, windows and surfaces.
• Arrange work schedule to clean discharge units as needed during the day.
• Operate heavy cleaning equipment and assist with moving furniture and equipment as required.
• Transport and dispose of waste, transport linen carts, and maintain supplies.
• Familiarize self with cleaning techniques for isolation cases and use department software.
