Intermountain Health McKay‑Dee Hospital seeks a part-time Environmental Services technician to clean and disinfect designated areas in a hospital setting. The role emphasizes adherence to Joint Commission and OSHA standards, proper handling of waste, and timely response to spills and emergencies.

The job requires physical stamina, ability to work on different units, and a focus on precise cleaning, safety, and infection prevention practices.

Qualifications

Demonstrated communication and ability to follow written/verbal directions.
Demonstrated professional housekeeping experience (preferred).
Ability to adapt to different units and work flexible schedule.

Responsabilités

Clean and disinfect assigned areas using department cleaning procedures.
Uses cleaning chemicals properly according to Joint Commission and OSHA standards.
Understands procedures and properly disposes of infectious waste and trash.
Handles and cleans up emergency spills per department guideline, Joint commission, and OSHA standards.
Follows all infection prevention practices (i.e. proper cleaning and disinfection protocols and process, hand hygiene, standard & isolation precautions, as well as proper donning and doffing of PPE)
Maintains work and storage areas following established policy and procedures to ensure safety
