Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a part-time Environmental Services attendant in New Port Richey, FL. You will clean assigned areas daily, remove trash and biohazard waste, operate cleaning equipment, and report equipment issues. The role requires English literacy, knowledge of cleaning chemicals, basic computer skills, and willingness to work with patients and staff. Background check compliance applies.

Pay range is $15.84 - $25.34 hourly; day-shift with weekend rotations. High school diploma preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, communicate in English and understand instructions.
• Knowledge of environmental services equipment and cleaning chemicals used by the department.
• Basic computer skills (mouse/keyboard).
• Ability to maintain clean, safe work areas and equipment.
• Willingness to work in a hospital environment and interact professionally with patients.

Responsibilities

• Cleans assigned areas daily and removes trash and biohazard waste.
• Transports soiled linens and waste per policy.
• Operates cleaning equipment and reports issues or shortages.
• Interacts with patients and staff professionally.
• Documents daily assignments and suggests improvements.
