Job summary

St. Francis–Emory Healthcare, part of the ScionHealth network, seeks an Environmental Services Tech in Columbus, GA to maintain a clean, safe hospital environment. The role involves cleaning areas, moving furniture and supplies, and supporting environmental services operations.

Ideal candidates will have a High School diploma or equivalent and strong interpersonal skills; previous acute care experience is preferred. This is a full-time, on-site position at a community hospital.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent including education to completion of secondary school.
• Previous experience in acute care setting preferred.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to read and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Selects cleaning materials/supplies and prepares cleaning solutions.
• Cleans assigned areas including walls, doors, tile, fixtures, patient TVs and equipment with germicidal solutions.
• Sweeps, mops floors and vacuums carpet; spot cleans carpet as needed.
• Cleans restrooms and maintains sanitary and odor-free conditions; replenishes essentials.
• Collects and removes trash; sanitizes cans and disposal areas.
