Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health Care in Memphis, TN is seeking a hospital housekeeping staff member to maintain patient and non-patient areas in a safe, clean and attractive condition. The role supports quality improvement and adheres to hospital policies and procedures. Training is provided upon hire.

The position duties include cleaning, disinfecting, inventory upkeep, and following Service First principles, with supervision duties in the absence of the manager. Shift is 7:00am–3:30pm.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of housekeeping experience preferred.
• Knowledge of infection control guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and disinfects areas by completing 7 step cleaning process.
• Practices infection control guidelines by adhering to universal precautions and practices safety precautions completing work assignments.
• Maintains equipment, storage rooms and environmental closets in orderly fashion.
• Performs all floor maintenance tasks in accordance with departmental policy and procedures.
• Follows Service First principles.
• Fulfills Hospital required competencies.
• Adheres to hospital and departmental policy and procedures.
• Supervises staff in the absence of Manager.
