Job summary

The role involves managing inventory, scheduling, safety and infection control, staff coaching, and participation in quality programs to improve service levels and workforce productivity.

Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years environmental services, care delivery, clinic support or business processes experience as related to area of responsibility.
• Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field; or four (4) years experience in a directly related field.
• Demonstrated knowledge of infection control, safety, and security regulations in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Oversees activities and staff of environmental services, linen/laundry, and supply delivery departments.
• Monitors, maintains, and controls inventory of supplies and equipment; creates requisitions for new and replacement supplies; evaluates new supplies for cost-effectiveness.
• Assists in budget preparation and promotes efficient use of resources.
• Prepares and monitors assignment schedules to ensure adequate coverage and timely services.
• Inspects areas for safety and infection control adherence; maintains policies and procedures on bio-hazardous waste and confidential records destruction.
• Hires, trains, supervises, counsels, disciplines, and terminates staff as appropriate.
• Communicates goals, priorities, and authority parameters to staff.
