Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in Wailuku, Hawaii seeks a Full-time Housekeeping Aide to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Under indirect supervision, you will perform a wide range of cleaning duties across patient care areas while minimizing disruption to operations.

The role requires basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals, ability to use buffing machines, and teamwork. A high school diploma and at least three months of work experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in adaptability, customer service, and teamwork.
• Three (3) months work experience.

Responsibilities

• Clean and service assigned areas to maintain a safe, healthy, and pleasant environment.
• Sweep, mop, wash, strip/scrub, and refinished floors; buff and polish floors as directed.
• Vacuum, spot-clean, shampoo, and extract carpets as assigned.
• Collect, bag, transport, and dispose of refuse and hazardous/infectious waste safely.
• Sort and store recyclables as instructed.
• Disinfect all surfaces; clean bathrooms and fixtures; replace towels, soap, and toilet paper.
• Move furniture, beds, supplies and equipment.
• Report supply needs and repairs to supervisor.
• Maintain records and keep area neat and tidy.
• Discharge units; make beds; report bed/unit availability.
