Job summary

CHI St. Vincent in Arkansas, part of CommonSpirit Health, is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to keep patient rooms and hospital areas clean and sanitized, protecting patients and staff from illness.

You will perform routine cleaning, sanitize, restock supplies, and learn proper disposal of biohazards; must have at least 3 years of floor care experience in healthcare settings; pay range $15.00-$15.69 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in specialized floor care and institutional housekeeping.
• Experience operating EVS floor care equipment (buffers, burnishers, strippers, extractors) recommended.
• Healthcare environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine cleaning and decluttering to hospital areas, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and disposing of trash.
• Sanitize appropriate areas of the hospital using approved tools and routines which may vary by location.
• Restock supplies in supply areas, common areas, and patient rooms.
• Learn and follow proper techniques for disposal of all medical waste, including biological or biohazard waste.
• Remain patient, kind and personable in all interactions with patients, visitors and staff.
