Job summary

Memorial Hospital of Gardena in Gardena, CA is seeking an Environmental Services Worker to daily clean patient care and non-patient areas, perform high/low dusting, clean restrooms and fixtures, and disinfect beds after patient discharge.

Under the supervision of the Environmental Services Supervisor, you will move beds, respond to calls, and follow the hospitals seven-step cleaning procedures while communicating professionally with coworkers, patients and visitors.

Qualifications

• Two years hospital EVS experience preferred.
• Ability to read/comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions; strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency with IT systems and computer skills; demonstrates reliability and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Conducts a complete clean of patient and treatment rooms.
• Cleans offices and Nursing Stations.
• Cleans restrooms, tub rooms, utility rooms, nourishment rooms, showers and fixtures.
• Mops and vacuums assigned areas.
• Follows 7-step cleaning procedures and HIPAA guidelines; responds to calls for assigned areas.
