Gateways Hospital & Mental Health Center is seeking a Lead EVS Technician in Los Angeles to oversee the environmental services team and support daily operations under the EVS Manager. The role focuses on maintaining a clean, sanitary hospital environment and supervising staff, scheduling, and training.

The position requires at least two years in a lead or supervisory role, knowledge of infection prevention, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Two years in a lead or supervisory role.
• Knowledge of hospital infection prevention and cleaning methods.
• Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
• Capable of following safety procedures around hazardous chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership within the department and guide staff.
• Schedule, assign work, and monitor performance and training.
• Perform area inspections and ensure infection prevention compliance.
• Coordinate coverage, assign EVS technicians to areas as needed.
• Maintain clean, organized, and stocked supply rooms; assist with room setups.
• Wear PPE and operate floor care equipment; respond to service calls.
