Job summary

AllianceHealth Durant is seeking an Environmental Service Worker I to clean, sanitize, and maintain patient areas in a hospital setting. You will use cleaning equipment to ensure hygienic rooms, lobbies, restrooms, and corridors, while following infection control and HIPAA safety guidelines.

The role requires attention to detail, good communication with staff, and the physical ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks and lift/move objects as needed. 1–2 years of cleaning experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize assigned areas per infection control standards.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors and surfaces.
• Maintain floors, upholstery, and hard surfaces per procedures.
• Restock supplies and report shortages.
• Handle waste and biohazardous materials safely per HIPAA protocols.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely and report malfunctions.
• Assist with minor repairs and notify larger issues.
• Maintain regular attendance and comply with policies.
