Job summary

Amberwell Atchison is seeking an Environmental Service Technician/Housekeeper to perform timely patient room cleaning and provide cleaning support across departments. Duties include discharge cleaning, lobby and restroom cleaning, and daily operations support.

The role requires proper chemical handling and infection control practices. The position is part-time, not benefit eligible, with weekend shifts and opportunities to work days and evenings as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred Experience: Prior housekeeping experience in a healthcare setting.
• Minimum Required Experience: No experience required.

• Uses and maintains equipment properly.
• Assists visitors with directions whenever requested
• Always introduces self to patients, families and visitors.
• Reports safety hazards as appropriate.
• Transports trash and hazardous waste to appropriate disposal area.
• Replenishes supplies.
• Follows all infection control practices including hand washing techniques, Standard Precautions and isolation precautions.
• Maintains set quality standards when performing job duties.
• Works day, evening or weekend shifts as assigned.
• Ability to do work on his/her own with normal supervision.
• Observes safety precautions at all times.
• Cooperate with other personnel to achieve departmental objectives, maintain good employee relations and interdepartmental objectives
