Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking an Environmental Services Aide I to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, visitors and staff. The role supports infection prevention through routine cleaning, waste handling and sanitation of patient areas and common spaces.

This full-time position offers competitive pay with a minimum hourly rate of $18.48, and a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental and vision coverage, paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and retirement

Qualifications

• Ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintains all floors surfaces.
• Performs repetitive cleaning operations throughout the work day under specific instructions with little need for individual judgment in working out job problems.
• Works with frequent contact with water and cleaning solutions.
• Moves furniture as required.
• Replaces shower curtains as needed.
• Collects soiled linen and disposes of same linen in laundry chute.
• Adheres to the standards identified in the Medical Center's Organizational Competencies.
