Job summary

Salinas Valley Health Medical Center is seeking a housekeeping team member to maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized hospital environment for patients, staff and visitors. You will work under Environmental Services leadership and perform a wide range of physically demanding duties to support daily operations.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED (preferred), good manual dexterity, and the ability to perform strenuous tasks for long periods.

Qualifications

• Manual dexterity of all limbs; able to operate cleaning equipment.
• Ability to perform strenuous work for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Select and stock materials from designated area.
• Clean and restock carts and equipment; maintain cleanliness.
• Clean assigned areas per department policies.
• Vacuum, sweep, dust, mop; move furniture as needed.
• Collect and transport soiled linen.
• Report unsafe conditions to supervisor.
• Perform other housekeeping tasks as assigned.
