Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and follow written work assignments.
• Must have physical ability to perform cleaning tasks (mopping, bending, lifting).
• Wear PPE for extended periods as required by safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Inspects and ensures assigned areas are cleaned and in good repair; report issues to supervisor.
• Cleans patient rooms, exam rooms, public areas, toilets, procedure rooms, OR rooms, offices and equipment following procedures.
• Removes trash from all assigned areas.
• Replenishes paper towels, toilet paper, and soap to maintain supplies.
• Makes beds in discharge rooms and on-call rooms as assigned.
• Maintains cleaning equipment in good working condition and reports problems.
• Moves equipment and furniture as assigned and cleans walls or carpets as needed.
• Follows all safety and sanitation regulations.
