Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is hiring Environmental Services staff to clean offices and department areas, manage trash and linen, and maintain a safe, attractive environment. You will follow a 6:30AM–11PM schedule on a mixed 8-hour shift, with holidays alternating and weekends every other weekend.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED preferred and prior environmental services experience. Work requires independence and a customer‑oriented service mindset within a large health system.

Qualifications

• Experience in environmental services preferred with ability to work independently.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe environment per department standards.

Responsibilities

• Cleans assigned rooms and areas to ensure a clean, safe environment.
• Collects and disposes of trash and soiled linen daily.
• Stocks and distributes the clean linen.
• Follows the schedule of duties efficiently and effectively.
• Projects a positive service attitude and responds promptly to requests.
