Job summary

Kindred Hospital Paramount and Acute Rehabilitation Unit is seeking an Environmental Services Associate to clean and service hospital areas, move furniture, and handle supplies to keep the facility safe and sanitary. Prior acute care experience is preferred, with opportunities to support patient care areas around the clock.

The role requires reading, writing and speaking fluent English, reliable attendance, and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak fluent English to comprehend instructions.
• Good attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work with cleaning chemicals and materials safely.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and services building areas; moves furniture, equipment and supplies.
• Cleans assigned areas including walls, doors, tile, fixtures, patient TVs and equipment.
• Sweeps, mops floors and vacuums carpet; spot cleans carpet.
• Cleans restrooms and replenishes supplies; maintains sanitary conditions.
• Collects and removes trash; sanitizes garbage cans and compactors area.
• May collect and transport hazardous waste in a closed container for sterilization.
• May collect soiled linen and distribute clean linen.
• Arranges furniture for meetings and events.
