Job summary

Kindred Hospital Seattle – First Hill is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to clean and service hospital areas, move supplies and maintain a safe, sanitary environment. The role supports patient care by keeping patient rooms and common areas clean.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent, fluent English, and prior acute care experience preferred. Compensation ranges from $21.47 to $22.78 per hour, with benefits available through ScionHealth.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak fluent English to comprehend instructions of cleaning materials.
• Must have good and regular attendance.
• Previous experience in acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Selects cleaning materials and prepares cleaning solutions.
• Cleans assigned areas with germicidal solutions.
• Sweeps, mops floors and vacuums carpet.
• Cleans restrooms and replenishes essentials.
• Collects and removes trash; sanitizes cans.
• May collect and transport hazardous waste for sterilization.
• May collect soiled linen and distribute clean linen.
• Arranges furniture for meetings and events.
• Returns unused supplies to janitor closet.
