Job summary

Orlando Health Sebastian River Hospital in Sebastian, FL is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services team member to help maintain a clean, safe hospital environment. Qualifications

• Ability to read and recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers. Must have good working knowledge and be capable of accessing and using all department related computer systems such as but not limited to the Bed Management systems.
• None.
• Must be able to complete required mandatory educational training.

Responsibilities

• As a self-motivated Team Member, adhere to all Standards of Behavior, exhibit excellent customer service skills, and function effectively in a cohesive team environment.
• Communicates with patients, visitors and customers using designated scripting and engagement techniques.
• Disinfects and cleans patient rooms and ancillary areas per approved procedures and chemicals.
• Cleans in-patient and non-patient rooms including beds, furniture, light fixtures, fixtures, floors and carpets.
• Replenishes supplies, removes waste and soiled linen daily and handles curtains as needed.
• Completes patient room cleaning for admissions/discharges.
• Maintains regular attendance and compliance with policies.
• Follows hand hygiene directives and safety protocols.
• Performs 7 Step cleaning in Environmental Housekeeper duties.
• Completes mandatory training and attends in-services.
• Participates in departmental QA and improvement activities.
