Job summary

Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital seeks a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, staff and visitors. Under the supervision of the Housekeeping Supervisor, you will perform cleaning, disinfection, floor care, waste and linen removal, and general housekeeping duties.

Responsibilities include cleaning patient and non-patient areas, following infection prevention and safety protocols, reporting hazards, and providing courteous service while working

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Housekeeping experience and knowledge of cleaning methods, products, and equipment preferred.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including lifting and routine tasks.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect patient and non-patient areas according to established standards.
• Perform floor care and routine cleaning using appropriate chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
• Collect and remove trash and soiled linen according to established procedures.
• Maintain assigned areas, equipment, and storage spaces in a clean and orderly condition.
• Follow infection prevention, safety, chemical handling, and PPE requirements.
• Identify and report safety hazards, maintenance concerns, and other issues to the supervisor.
• Complete assigned duties efficiently and assist with additional areas or tasks as needed.
• Provide courteous and professional service while working with patients, visitors, and Hospital staff.
