Job summary

Paylocity seeks a Housekeeper in the Environmental Services department to maintain clean, sanitary, orderly surroundings for patients, staff and visitors. The role promotes sanitary conditions to prevent infection and odors and may involve exposure to bodily fluids per the OSHA Blood-borne Pathogen Program.

The incumbent will follow procedures for cleaning, disposal and handling of materials, and participate in department meetings and routine tasks.

Qualifications

• Courteous and attentive to staff and patients.
• Willing to help.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Honest and able to perform repetitive tasks.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
• Stand/walk 8+ hours; lift up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Daily cleaning of the facility as instructed (vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, bathrooms).
• Prepare rooms for admissions by ensuring rooms, linens, and towels are clean.
• Dust furniture, light fixtures, windowsills, etc.
• Empty trash containers daily.
• Wet mop floors in patients’ bathrooms; mop all floors and common areas as required.
• Report needed repairs to manager.
• Check vacant rooms to keep fresh.
• Participate in meetings and department activities.
• Check cleaning cart and linen supply inventories.
• Complete other tasks as assigned by manager.
• Follow instructions on germicidal solutions.
• Use safety precautions in housekeeping services.
• Deep cleaning as assigned by manager.
