Job summary

Yale NewHaven Health is seeking a housekeeping team member to perform extensive cleaning across hospital areas under the supervision of the Housekeeping Supervisor. The role requires handling cleaning solutions, floor care, and bedding disinfection with attention to infection control procedures.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED (preferred) and healthcare experience. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs; knowledge of powered floor equipment is a plus. Union benefits apply.

Responsibilities

• Follow supervisor directions and schedule changes as needed.

• Maintain clean and organized work areas and equipment; manage supplies.
• Move furniture and set up rooms as required for events or procedures.
• Report unsafe conditions to supervision.
• Use proper protective equipment and safe lifting techniques.
• Provide courteous, timely service to staff and patients.
