Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to keep patient rooms and hospital areas clean and sanitized. You will perform routine cleaning, use specialized equipment, learn safe disposal of biohazards, and refill supplies.

You will contribute to a safe, comfortable environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and attention to detail, with opportunities to assist in more complex cleaning tasks across multiple hospital

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Complete daily occupied and discharge/transfer cleaning and disinfection of patient care areas and equipment.
• Maintain cleaning carts, supplies, and equipment; dispose waste per procedures.
• Follow safety, risk management and infection control guidelines.
• Operate EVS tools and equipment; assist with facility needs like room setups.
• Collaborate with the patient care team to ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Mentor new Environmental Services Tech I employees when needed.
